The Junior League of Johnson City (JLJC) is holding their annual Touch-A-Truck event on September 30th, 2023 at 10:00 AM at East Tennessee State University. Tickets start at $5 and will go on sale September 8th, 2023. Pre-purchase tickets online here. 

This exciting community event allows children the opportunity to learn firsthand about all types of working trucks and service vehicles by exploring them and interacting with the people who build, protect, and serve our local community. Vehicles will include everything from police cars to construction trucks to farm equipment, and the fun will not stop there! Vendors and League members will also offer games, crafts, and more. There will be a “quiet hour” from 2 to 3 p.m. This hour will allow children and individuals with sound sensitivities or sensory disorders to come out and enjoy the event! There will truly be something for everyone!

There is a sensory hour from 2:00-3:00 PM where truck horns will not be used for those that prefer a quieter atmosphere, please make sure to plan accordingly.

This event raises money for the various philanthropic endeavors that the Junior League of Johnson City supports including an annual Volunteer Scholarship for a graduating high school senior and a Signature Project that provides up to $15,000 in funding to various local organizations in order for them to implement new programming or an improvement within their organization.
